Mary Ann Hildebrandt
President and Chief Executive Officer
 

Mary Ann has been a valued member of Gateway Community Industries for over 35 years, holding various positions including 23 years as the Director of Rehabilitation Services,and most recently serving as the Vice President of Corporate affairs. She was responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all of Gateway Community Industries' vocational and therapeutic services and throughout the years she has been involved as an active member of various committees (MH and MRDD) with our trade association, NYSRA and served as the Gateway liaison to the Ulster County Community Services Board/MRDD Committee. Mary Ann was a founding member of the Ulster County Vocational Planning Committee and currently is a member of the Hudson Valley Quality Assurance and Compliance Workgroup and the Taconic DDSO Quality Assurance Committee.

Mary Ann currently sits on the following boards and board sub-committees: Kingston Hospital Foundation Board, Kingston Hospital Foundation Finance Committee, Ulster County Department of Health Board, and the YWCA of Ulster County Finance Committee. Previously, she has served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the YWCA of Ulster County and was honored as the YWCA Woman of the Year in 2006.
 
A local Kingston High School graduate, she holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, State University of New York at Albany as well as a Bachelor of Science - Liberal Arts, State University College at Oneonta..

Nancy Slauson
Chief Financial Officer

Nancy joined Gateway Community Industries, Inc. in 2002. Nancy holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Economics with a Finance Concentration and is pursuing an MBA in Management. She has over 25 years experience in financial management. Prior to coming to work for Gateway she worked in hospital and nursing home finance.

As Chief Financial Officer her responsibilities include the management and supervision of the Finance and Facilities Maintenance Departments. She is responsible for oversight of the agency’s accounting and fiscal decisions. She is the lead person for workers compensation and has served on the Health and Safety Committee.

Nancy has served on the Roxbury Central School Board of Education for five years including as Vice President and President. She has been an Ambassador for the New York State School Boards Association. She has served as member of Committee for Special Education (CSE).   She has volunteered as a Loaned Executive for United Way. Nancy currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley and the Board of Directors of Margaretville Memorial Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center.

Ralph Smith
Chief Information Officer


Ralph has managed computers and computer networks for the past twenty years. He graduated from Hofstra University with a B.A. degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, and also has a two year degree from S.U.N.Y. Farmingdale in Computer Science. Ralph has a Certificate in Network Administration from Ulster BOCES and has completed Cisco Certified Network Associate training and attained Cisco CCNA and CompTia A-Plus certifications.

The Chief Information Officer’s job is to ensure that all of Gateway’s computing, networking and electronic communication systems are operating efficiently, and to ensure the integrity, availability and security of Gateway’s electronic information.

Before coming to Gateway in 2001, Ralph held a variety of positions including managing computer controlled manufacturing machines in the printed circuit board industry, working as a Process Engineer and also as a Quality Assurance Manager for IBM subcontractors, and running a graphics and screen printing department for a local sporting goods distributer.

Helena Costakis
Vice President for Human Resources
 

Helena joined Gateway in September 2015 with over five years of Human Resources experience. She brings with her a strong background in employee management and labor relations, as well as employment law and recruitment. Helena received her Bachelor’s of Arts in English from The College of Saint Rose, and a Master’s of Professional Studies in Human Resources Management from Stony Brook University. She is presently working on her Doctorate in Business Administration from Wilmington University and is currently conducting research on employee motivation and engagement.

Helena is also an Adjunct Professor for management and business courses at various local and national colleges. Helena teaches courses in: Human Resources Management, Training and Development, Employment Law, and Compensation and Benefits.

Helena serves as an Advisory Board Member for the not for profit Lupus Now Magazine, writes as a guest columnist for employment related articles, and has also engaged as their human resources subject matter expert for employment related articles. She is certified in the Administration of Integrated Leave Management and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.

Stephanie Turco
Vice President of Direct Services and Support   
 
As Vice President of Direct Services and Support, Stephanie will be leading the residential, vocational and therapeutic services programs in a rapidly changing environment.  The consolidation of these support services, provides a continuity of care with great transparency for those we serve, as well as aligning our agency with a clear direction as we move forward with the implementation of managed care.
Stephanie joined the agency in 2011 as the Clinical Director for PROS.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who previously served as a Court Appointed Special Child Advocate for Ulster County.  Prior to her Human Services career, she was a New York Stock Exchange Specialist and Managing Partner of Webco Securities, Inc. in New York, NY.
