As a regular full-time or part-time (working a regular schedule of at least 27½ hours per week) employee, you are eligible to participate in Gateway Community Industries, Inc. insurance plans. Enrollment is effective the first of the month following your date of hire or the date you transfer to a benefit eligible position

The cost of the above stated insurance plans are deducted on a pre-tax basis each bi-weekly payroll under Gateway’s cafeteria plan.

Please note that value of life insurance that is more than $50,000 will be taxable to the employee.

At no charge to the employee. Coverage is one and one half your annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1000.


Short Term Disability:
Required under NYS law is paid in full by Gateway.

Upon completion of 2 full consecutive years of employment provided you worked at least 1,000 hours in each of those two years. Gateway contributes 3.33% of your annual salary into the plan each year.

Education Assistance
Eligible employees may receive Education Assistance up to 75% of the cost of tuition/mandatory fees to a maximum of the average NYS published SUNY In-State tuition/mandatory fees per semester given the employee achieves at least a passing grade as required by the attending university.

Holidays:
11 days per year
Personal time:
3 days per year. Personal time must be taken prior to each anniversary of your hire or date of benefit eligibility. New hires must satisfactorily complete their 90-day introductory period of employment to use personal time off.
Vacation time:
You may accrue up to a maximum of 160 hours
2 weeks accrued upon completion of first year (must complete six months employment to use accrued vacation).
 
3 weeks accrued per year your 2nd, 3rd and 4th years employed.
 
4 weeks accrued per year effective your 5th anniversary.
Sick leave :
You may accrue up to a maximum of 640 hours.
12 days accrued each anniversary year or date of benefit eligibility.
