Penrose Manor Community Residence

Penrose Community Residence is a transitional residence with a 3 year average length of stay.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Persons age 18 or over
• Primary diagnosis of mental illness with a secondary diagnosis of a developmental disability,(F.S.I.Q. 85 or less)
• In need of supervised living, but possesses the ability to gain skills needed for more independent living
• Each applicant will be interviewed prior to admission to determine if the program is appropriate for his/her needs
• No person will be excluded from the program on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, or national origin
Services Provided:
• Training & supervision in the activities of daily living
• Counseling
• Crisis management
• Medication management
• Socialization opportunities
• Room and board
• Transportation
• Referral to and coordination with appropriate health, mental health, rehabilitation, and supportive services
Service Planning:
• Employment potential
• Ability to carry out activities to live independently
• Nutrition and personal care skills
• Cooperativeness, problem solving skills
• Self-medication skills
The fee is based on SSI Level II Residential Care and Medicaid Restorative Service rates for community residence and is subject to change.
